Your Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer who will help architect and build the core backend systems powering our real estate discovery platform and AI-driven user experience. You will work closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to shape the platform’s foundation, scale our services, and ensure reliability and performance. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys early-stage ownership, greenfield software architecture, and building flexible systems that support rapid iteration.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting Infinityy’s core platform and AI-driven features
- Architect scalable solutions in C#/.NET, integrating with both SQL and NoSQL data stores (Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.)
- Develop cloud-native services and workflows on Azure or AWS, leveraging tools such as Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus, Event Grid, Lambda, or equivalent
- Collaborate with the AI team to integrate LLMs and agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Haystack, CrewAI, AutoGen, AI Foundry)
- Own the design and execution of data pipelines, event-driven systems, and background processing workloads
- Build for reliability, observability, resilience, and strong security practices
- Contribute to DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and infrastructure management
- Mentor other engineers and shape engineering best practices and culture
- Participate in product discussions, roadmap planning, and feature scoping—your voice will matter
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Recent, real-world experience using AI coding agents and developer tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar, as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and building production-grade APIs and services.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Experience building and deploying applications on Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with cloud-native tools (Functions/Lambda, Service Bus/SQS, Event Grid/EventBridge, Data Factory/Glue).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, system design, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong sense of ownership and comfort working in a fast-paced, seed-stage environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Experience with Typescript or Python (preferred)
- Experience integrating AI systems, LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, or agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Haystack, CrewAI, AutoGen, AI Foundry) (preferred)
- DevOps or platform engineering experience (CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, observability) (preferred)
- Infrastructure-as-Code familiarity (Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Pulumi, etc.) (preferred)
- Prior experience in early-stage startups (preferred)
- Passion for proptech, real estate technology, or building consumer-facing digital experiences (preferred)
